About Courtney:
Before stepping into the therapist role, I spent three years in a daycare classroom with infants through six year olds. I coached little ones through big feelings and often supported caregivers who were navigating the overwhelm of those first school years. That time taught me more than any textbook ever could. I learned what it means to meet a family in the trenches, to co-regulate, and to respond to the real life in front of me.
In therapy, I offer a gentle, steady space for children, teens, and caregivers who want to feel heard, seen, and understood. I am especially drawn to supporting parents and those experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety, infertility, and pregnancy loss. Grief in these seasons can be layered and quiet, and it deserves a place where tenderness and honesty can coexist.
With kids and adolescents, I focus on emotional regulation, anxiety, social skills, trauma, depression, and life transitions at home and at school. My approach is relationship-centered and practical. We will build skills for nervous-system regulation, weave in play and creativity, and include caregivers so that what we practice in session becomes doable in daily routines. The goal is confidence and connection, not perfection.
I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Belmont University and completed my clinical internship at Recovery Unplugged, where I learned to integrate creative, evidence-based care with a human, compassionate presence. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Mississippi. I am a pre-licensed therapist practicing under clinical supervision of Laura Hamilton, and I offer both in-person and online sessions to keep support accessible and flexible for your family.
