Laura Hamilton,

LPC/MHSP

(she/her/hers)

Hi! I’m Laura Hamilton, founder of Tulip Tree Counseling. After earning my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Vanderbilt University and gaining invaluable experience working across different therapeutic settings, I founded Tulip Tree Counseling in 2021. My vision was to build a practice rooted in authenticity, evidence-based support, and collaboration—a place where both my values and my clients’ values are at the heart of the work we do together.

With seven years in the field, I’ve found that strong, healthy relationships are essential to growth and healing. Research backs it up, too—the therapist-client connection is one of the best predictors and most impactful elements of change. My goal is to create a space where you can come as you are and receive care that truly fits your needs.

About Laura:

I strive to facilitate insight, positive change, and growth for young adults and adults. In my work, I consider collaboration and the therapeutic relationship to be the foundation of change and healing. I help individuals overcome difficulties such as eating disorders, adjustment to college, grief & loss, and relationship concerns.

I am currently offering in-person and online therapy (or teletherapy) to help make therapy accessible to as many people as possible. Online counseling is easy to access and just as effective as in-person therapy. Additionally, I am an approved supervisor for those in the state of Tennessee pursuing LPC/MHSP licensure.
